Benefits to the Keratin Treatment

Our exclusive combination of ingredients will give you manageable, frizz free hair with deep lasting shine and elasticity.  As an added benefit you will be able to seal in hair color and highlights truly reflecting the color of the hair.    With the assistance of our exclusive amino acid, L-Cysteine, in each of our products you will see healthy, stronger hair that is more resistant to breakage and loss.

Our combination of non toxic ingredients will allow you to repeat the treatment every four weeks without causing damage to the hair.  On the contrary, the results obtained from the very first treatment will only be enhanced every time you do another treatment.

Less is more with KeraGreen.  For most hair types an ounce is sufficient when you are treating shoulder length hair.  We recommend that you do not saturate the hair with keratin as this could leave the hair looking heavy and oily after a day or so.  To better distribute the product in the hair we recommend that you apply it using a container that has a spray applicator top.  This allows you to evenly distribute the product while using a smaller amount and at the same time giving you the added benefit of storing the unused product without contamination.

For very curly, frizzy and coarse hair, it is recommended that the treatment be left in the hair for 20 to 30 minutes with a cap under a hair dryer set to medium heat.  After the treatment has set in the hair you will proceed to blow dry the hair with a round nylon bristled brush.  After the hair has been fully dried with the blow-dryer then seal in the product using a flat iron heated to a maximum of 450 degrees Fahrenheit.  The heat from the flat iron will allow the treatment to penetrate the hair follicle while at the same time sealing it in. For bleached and over processed hair it is recommended that the heat of the iron be reduced to approximately 410 to 415 degrees Fahrenheit.  The stylist will section off the hair and apply the hot iron to each section by running it from root to end between 5 and 7 times.  It is important that the stylist always protects the end of the hair by not taking the iron all the way to the ends on every run.  The iron is only taken all the way to the ends a maximum of 3 times.   It is imperative that the stylist knows that in order to successfully seal in the keratin treatment you cannot use an iron that is heated to less than 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

The client can also follow up at home using the Kera Renew, which is a deep conditioning treatment they can do once a week.  They can also return to the salon in two weeks to do a follow up maintenance treatment with our KeraGreen Protein Maintenance Treatment which contains high levels of keratin thereby extending the life of the treatment.

For virgin hair, it is highly recommended that the stylist wash the hair  2 to 3 times with KeraGreen Clarifying Shampoo.  This will properly open the hair cuticle thereby allowing  the keratin treatment to penetrate deeper into the hair follicle, as virgin hair is always more difficult to treat.  For optimal results we suggest that virgin hair receive the treatment at least every 4 to 6 weeks until the desired smoothness is achieved.

Warn clients not to flat iron hair daily or even weekly after the keratin treatment as there is no need for this, as the hair will start looking healthier, straighter and frizz free.  To maintain the treatment and prolong its duration clients need to use our shampoo and conditioner.  Our shampoo does not contain sulfate, which is the enemy of keratin as sulfates will strip the treatment off the hair.  Our after care products all contain the same ingredients found in our keratin treatment such as Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Hydrolyzed Silk, L- Cysteine and about 28 amino acids that will extend the life of the treatment.  With the use of our KeraGreen products they will see their hair transform right before their eyes.
